I have the pleasure of teaching 7th grade Math at West Jefferson Middle School. Math is such an interesting subject, and I believe that everybody has the ability to meet success with the subject. We are all very different learners and our minds work in different ways, so if you feel like you aren't "getting it", we may need to look at "it" in a different way and try another strategy! I will work tirelessly to ensure that all students who walk in my door will view math in a positive way.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in this beautiful state, then my family moved to Texas when I was in 7th grade. After a few years in the humid city of Houston, we moved to Maryland when I was a sophomore in high school. I graduated from the University of Maryland with my education degree in 2014. I taught 5th grade for 3 years in Maryland, where I met my husband, who is also a teacher, and we adopted out first pup, Izzy. We eventually decided that we wanted to start our life together in my beautiful home state, and I began teaching in Jeffco last year as a 6th grade math and science teacher. We adopted our second pup, Apollo, this past summer and now I am fortunate enough to be working at West Jeff... Go Colts!

After-school help is available Thursdays until 3:15 unless a different day is already requested and agreed upon at an earlier date. Students may bring a snack and a drink. Transportation must be arranged by the students' parents or guardians.
