Third Trimester Remote PE Learning Dates for the Remaining of the 2020-21 School Year:
May 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 26
Kindergarten - 5th Grades Remote Learning May 17 - 21
LEARNING TARGET: I use a variety of skills, both movement and manipulative, to be successful in OPEN National Field Day events and activities.

Throwing, tossing, catching (any type of ball, balloon, bean bag, frisbee, with a family member)

Basketball free throws, or basketball dribbling, shooting, rebounding, shooting games such as HORSE, Around the World, Knock-out. Remember to use B.E.E.F (balance, eyes, elbows, follow through/follow your shot).
Hula Hoop activities - use your imagination and background knowledge from what we have done in class such as: basic hula hooping, using hoop as a jump rope, and flip a hoop to practice tossing a bean bag for accuracy and distance.

Strengthen your core by participating in a 60 second plank challenge - do each position for 10 seconds and add on the number of seconds each time you complete the rotation: 1. hold plank position on elbows 2. lift left leg 3. lift right leg 4. lift left arm 5. lift right arm 6 end in plank position on both elbows. And, here is a fun Cha Cha Slide plank workout.
Practice locomotor skills: skipping (high and backwards), sliding (low and shuffling), galloping, hopping, jumping, karaoke.

Bal-A-Vis-X: click here for explanation and demonstration. May use beanbag, racquetball, tennis ball or any small ball that bounces.
Go for a walk, hike, run, or bike ride.
Make an obstacle course and then compete for a fastest time.
Fly a kite.
Make a sidewalk chalk obstacle course.
Go on a Scavenger Hunt - decide on a theme and see what you can find (as you are hunting use different locomotor skills - challenge yourself with different pathways, speeds, and levels).
If you participate in a sport and still have practices they count towards your daily activity goal.
