Jessica Alsalem M.S.
Significant Support Needs Teacher (SSN)
Hello my name is Jessica Alsalem aka Mrs. A and I have been teaching SSN for 5 years. I will be opening Moore’s SSN with high expectations and dedication to bring academics and life skills for all SSN students. Last year the work of our team was awarded Model SSN Site by Colorado Department of Education. We are working hard to bring this high achievement to the community at Moore Middle School.
Out of school, I enjoy spending time with my family playing games and doing anything active. I have a toddler who keeps me on my toes. I am also expecting my second child due in January! I'm excited for what this next year will bring!
My name is Ticia Mueller and I am beginning my 20th year with Jefferson County Schools--my 12th year with a SSN program. I have always loved working with children and so enjoy watching our kids grow and succeed!
I have three great kids of my own--Nathan, Rachel, and Carly. I also have a dog named Chayce and two "granddogs" named Ryleigh and Noki. I love the mountains and enjoy hiking and camping. I also love the ocean and french fries!!
My name is Kara Marshall and I have been working in the SSN #3 classroom at Ryan for 7.5 years. I started working with children teaching preschool at Children's World Learning Center in 1997. I received an Honor Teacher recognition in the year 2000. As many children grew, I decided to make a change and work in the public school system. I have been with Jeffco since 2005. I was Para Professional for 7 years before taking a position in the SSN #3 classroom.
I have 2 children, Katey and Tyler. A fiance Kurt and 3 dogs. I am excited for this new adventure in Middle School.
Aloha, my name is James, a recent transplant from Hawaii where I was working as a Registered Behavioral Technician at Malama Pono Autism Center. Our work was guided using ABA principals, which utilizes a strong scientific approach to changing behavior. Now living in Arvada, I am grateful to be working with such an amazing and dedicated team here at Moore Middle School's SSN classroom. It is interesting to be working in the public school realm vs. private center and I am lucky to be surround by such wonderful kiddos! This line of work is extremely meaningful to me and brings about a lot of purpose and happiness.
In my free time I love to explore the great outdoors, tend to my garden, take bike rides with my two Rhodesian Ridge-backs and continue to stay curious about this great city and state. Looking forward to a happy healthy and very successful year at Moore.
