Vanessa Cianfichi, DTL
I am so happy to join the WJES family! This is my first year as the DTL in Jeffco. Beginning my career as a Conifer High School graduate, I continued my education at CU Boulder in Spanish Language and Literature. I attained my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Denver University, and I completed a Reading Specialist certificate from CalU. I have taught 1st, 3rd and 4th grades and coached teachers at all levels from K-12. I strive to deepen student learning through community connections and technology.

Student Data Protection
Excellence in education requires that technology is seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula. Increasing access to technology enriches the curriculum and empowers students to maximize their full potential.
Students are a part of a 1:1 Chromebook environment where Chromebooks are available for each student to use in the classroom.
Digital tools are used to supplement instruction and enrich learning. When evaluating tools for classroom use, student data privacy is a prime concern. West Jeff Elementary follows the Student and Data Privacy guidelines put forth by the Jefferson County School Board and the Colorado Department of Education.
The Data Privacy & Security page on the district website describes safeguards taken by Jeffco Schools to support data security operations
You can view the Jeffco Digital Tools Page for ALL vetted tools/sites.
