Mrs. Kauyedauty, Librarian
About Mrs. Kauyedauty
Hello! I'm Mrs. Kauyedauty.
I love creating digital learning experiences for students that connect the real-world to the classroom. I am almost always learning.
Right now as the Digital Teacher Librarian at Jefferson I extend classroom learning for students within Jefferson that engage students to collaboratively create and share awesome, multi-media products. We focus on digital citizenship; empowering students with strategies and tools for safe and smart use of the Internet. I strive to provide students with the best information literacy education possible.
Before joining the Jefferson community, I worked within Denver Public Schools (DPS) for six years as a Teacher Librarian and Computer teacher. Prior to my time within DPS, I worked at The Dual Immersion Academy in District 51 as the lead teacher in the Fourth Grade, Spanish dominant classroom. There, I focused on language acquisition, cultural empathy and communication with parents to equip students to become global citizens.
I'm originally from Colorado's Western Slope and try to take advantage of the amenities Denver has to offer. When I'm not changing lives at school, you'll likely find me at the Children's Museum, Performing Arts Center or the Public Library with my own, young children.
