February has been more snowy than January. Jeffco called it's first snow day and we've taken advantage of the weather to romp in the snow.
JeffcoEnroll: A quick update for all parents who completed the JeffcoEnroll process for next year. We've been informed that a system glitch has been found that may cause you to receive an email saying that your registration to our program has been denied for next year. Rest assured that if you registered, your spot is secured and disregard that email. We apologize for any confusion, unfortunately, we have no control over this.
Conferences: March is spring conference month, I'd like to extend the invitation to all parents who would like to set up a time to meet. I love talking about your kids with you! If you'd like a conference, please email me.
Zoology presentations: As part of our Zoology unit on Friday, the Denver zoo will be coming to our classroom on March 8. They will be presenting an assembly titled "Scutes and Scales" and will bring live animals for our students to observe. The following week, March 15, we will head into the main building for a workshop with "Natural Discovery".
Silent Auction: Saturday, March 9, is MPA's annual silent auction. The online auction begins March 6. See the "Peak Newsletter" for more information.
Irish Dancers: An Irish Dance troupe will be performing an all-school assembly in the gym on Thursday, March 14 at 1:45. If your children are interested in attending, please sign in at the office.
Spring Break: The weeks of March 18-22 and March 25-29 are Spring break for our homeschool programs. We hope you have a wonderful and enjoyable rest.
The students have chosen animals and begun their research projects. We've discussed anatomy and are moving into habitat and food chains. March also brings outside experts into the classroom to enhance our experience. The third issue of the "Pug Times" went out last Friday and is posted to the left, take a moment to enjoy our student's work!
Thank you to those of you who ordered from Scholastic in February. Our March deadline is 3/31. Our class code is TYMCJ for ordering online. Look for new flyers in the next week.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Before School: Please apply sunscreen if you would like your child to wear it and have a good breakfast. We do not have snack until 9:45 in the morning.
Drop off: Please pull up into the round-about and let your child(ren) out. If you would like to walk them in, please park in the parent lot to the west of the round-about. The door to the classroom will open at 8:25. If you arrive before that, be prepared to wait with your child.
Need to bring: lunch, water bottle, appropriate shoes with toes, sun hat if desired, and sunscreen if you would like your child to reapply it midday.
Dismissal: Please pull up into the round-about and wait. We will walk your child(ren) to your car. This ensures that we know they were delivered to you safely. Thank you for your cooperation.
Pizza Days: We will have a pizza day once a month. Look for the pizza schedule to come home on the first day of school.
