Government Affairs
Government affairs is usually thought of as policy centric so this would be an opportunity for an intern to get real world policy work and also understand the personal relationships needed to execute policy
Intern will learn how to analytically think through the entirety of an issue before making a decision
Intern will learn how to build interpersonal skills which will aide in successfully and respectfully negotiating through tough issues

Intern should be curious and not be afraid to act independently, yet ask questions as they go
Intern should be able to observe and follow social cues to determine professional behavior
Intern should have a natural curiosity and ability to connect with people
