They are a 93-bed inpatient/outpatient, nonprofit hospital that offers acute, short and long-term care.

Internship Description:

Assisting in all areas of the hospital rehab setting including but not limited to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, TREC, Foundation, Gift Shop, and a variety of special events. This is a hands-on opportunity that ranges from cleaning equipment to assisting patients in their rehab session. The duties vary according to the area of placement which can include a various departments depending on the students area of interest.

Hours of Operation:

The bulk of the time is Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00/5:00pm. There are also special activities throughout the month that would provide more opportunities. 

Required or Recommended Skills:

Be a mature and compassionate person comfortable in a healthcare setting working with people that have had a life-changing injury. Should be a self-starter who can initiate and complete tasks without constant supervision after training. Reliable and dependable people will get the most out of this experience.
