Principles of Finance

This course is built around a real-world opportunity involving managing the EHS Education Foundation endowment asset portfolio. Students will build to an end-of-course presentation of recommendations to the Evergreen High School Education Foundation Board of Directors for implementation in the portfolio, based on analysis of macroeconomic, industry, and company attributes. Interactive debate about the fundamentals of the global economy, industry, and companies of interest will replicate strategic decision-making processes that real world business leaders perform every day. Students will also learn or review critical financial and accounting principles, including rates of returns, free cash flow calculations, and financial statement analysis.

The calendar below includes upcoming assignments. Other significant events may also appear. Additional details are available in the Google Classroom for each section. Students are provided a Google Classroom code at school.
