Stock Market Challenge: First Place Team!

Stock Market Challenge

Earlier this month, approximately 90 students from Evergreen High School competed in the Stock Market Challenge, organized by Junior Achievement.

The fast-paced trading simulation took place on the Denver University campus, and Evergreen continued its recent run of success by taking both first and second place. Key stock picks included "Wesla" - an electric vehicle company - and "Lift X" - a business focused on space exploration.

Congratulations to the winning teams!

  • First Place: Asher McWilliams, Callan Lakings, Colin Gohman, Ethan Foreman, Carson King and Gabe Bittner

  • Second Place: Tyler tatman, Maddy Billups, Zandon Portillo, Lucas Fesenmeyer, Cami Haluza, Iain Cormier, Parker Kuykendall, and Lorenzo Toriello

Spring Musical Auditions

Auditions for our Spring Musical, Once Upon A Mattress, will be held in the auditorium on December 14, 15, and 16. Tuesday, December 14 will be dance auditions - no need to prepare anything, just come in athletic clothes ready to dance (sneakers are fine!). Wednesday, December 15 will be song and monologue auditions. Students should prepare about 60 seconds of an upbeat/comedic Musical Theatre song and a 45-60 second comedic monologue similar to the style of the show. Both of these selections will be performed for the audition committee. Thursday, December 16 is Callbacks - students will be called back if the committee feels we need to see more in order to make casting decisions.

The cast list will be released by Saturday, December 18th at 5pm.

  • We are also looking for people to help with tech! If you're interested in building the set, helping with costumes/makeup, doing lighting or sound for the show, and more, please feel free to join us!

  • We will have an informational meeting for all who are cast and all interested pit musicians (orchestra) and techies on Monday, December 20th during Access. Please plan to attend that meeting with any questions about the show. Reach out to Ms. Garza if you have any questions about auditions or anything to do with the musical!

The Warren Tech application opens December 13th! Mark your calendars. This is a new date.

Annual Open House:

Important Naviance Information!

Before colleges can download your official EHS documents (transcript, letter[s] of recommendation, school profile), you need to indicate in Naviance that you have submitted your application.

Please do not do this before you've submitted your application, or the college may receive your documents ahead of your application and have nothing to which to attach them. You can do this the morning you anticipate submitting your application (e.g., Monday 11/15) so that Mrs. Anderson can start sending out your documents in time for the deadline that night.

This link is a video that shows you how to do this, as well as other important tips about requesting transcripts and changing application deadlines:
