Slavery Timeline

You and your partner are to create a timeline pinpointing the most important dates in the timeline of American Slavery.

1. Look at the notes (attached below) and the slavery powerpoint.

2. Choose the most important dates (at least eight) and highlight them/summarize them in your notes for your timeline.

3. Create a mathematically correct timeline:

a. glue two sheets of paper together lengthwise

b. draw a line lengthwise across your paper

c. with the eight or nine dates you have chosen place them mathematically correct on the timeline

*make 1875 the final date on your timeline

*remember that general dates should be equally spread across the timeline (for example: every 50 years)

d. summarize each event into a few sentences and make sure to include the date

e. each event should have a colorful picture that depicts what occurred at this time

f. title your timeline
