Credit Recovery and Summer School Options

If you have failed a class that is required for graduation, you will need to complete credit recovery. Please refer to the graduation requirements listed below and talk with your counselor to be sure you are taking the course(s) you need.

Regardless of which program you select please notify your counselor of your enrollment.

If You Need an Unofficial Transcript, please send and email to your counselor requesting the transcript including your contact information (name, student #, and email address).

All summer school classes at the locations listed on the document to the left will be free, on a space available basis. The North site or Jeffco Virtual will likely be the best options for SLHS students. Due to construction, Standley Lake will not be hosting summer school.

Arvada West HS

Registration: In person June 1 from 8 am - 1pm. Registration closes June 9th.

Hybrid Classes: Face to Face Sessions are at Arvada West HS in the library based on subject area (8-10 am Mon -Thurs)

Jeffco Virtual Academy (Click on Credit Recovery)

Registration: April 27 - May 25

Out of District Credit Recovery Programs

Students can take only 2.0 credits of recovery outside of the Jeffco School District. Please see your counselor with questions


For those who need to retake courses, our mastery-based summer school can help.

  1. Take a pretest to prove topic mastery.

  2. Finish at your own pace within 60 days of registration.

English, math, science, and history credit recovery courses are available for just $95.
