My name is Caitlyn O'Loughlin, and I have been living in Colorado for 5 years. I moved here from Texas to be near family, the mountains, and cooler weather. I love being a teacher, and I believe that education is a partnership between families and educators. I also believe that, as educators, our job includes teaching children's minds and hearts.

I graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Minor in Spanish, and then went on to earn my Masters in Education from Dallas Theological Seminary. I taught 1st grade for two years in Texas before moving to Colorado. I was happy to accept a 1st grade position at Westgate in 2013, and I taught with an amazing team of teachers for four years. During those years, I received training in LETRS and Reading Foundations Academy. My love and knowledge of literacy grew, and last year I was able to teach intermediate students in 4th grade. This year I am excited to start a new chapter in my career as I begin to help students in 3rd-5th grade with their reading challenges.

When I am not working I enjoy any outside activity, reading, learning new things, and spending time with family and friends. I am so excited to partner with you in your child's education this year!
