ASCENT- 5th Year College Program

Accelerating Students through Concurrent ENrollment

ASCENT is a fifth year Concurrent Enrollment program which allows students to participate in college courses after their 12th-grade year. This covers the cost of tuition; students pay for their own books and campus fees.


Current 12th Graders on track to graduate with a 2.0 GPA

Is on track to complete 12 (Concurrent Enrollment) College Credits by the end of 12th grade year.

Has completed their FAFSA by January 17. Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) must be above 2000.


January 17 - Complete FAFSA

January 29 - Deadline to talk with your counselor and submit interest form (see below).

January 31 - Counselors submit nominations to district (for Feb 1 deadline)

Once Students are nominated by their counselor they are considered Candidates for the ASCENT program.

February and March, 2021

  • Eligible students nominated by the February 1st deadline will be placed in the

ASCENT Nominees 21-22 Google Classroom

  • Once students have accepted the Google Classroom, they will need to complete (with counselor support) the assignments within the ASCENT Google Classroom by Friday, March 26th by 11:59 pm

  • Students who apply after this date will be put on a waiting list
