ASCENT- 5th Year College Program

Accelerating Students through Concurrent ENrollment

ASCENT is a fifth year Concurrent Enrollment program which allows students to participate in college courses after their 12th-grade year. This covers the cost of tuition; students pay for their own books and campus fees.

Nomination Deadline Extended to April 15, 2022

Let your Counselor know if you are interested!

Eligibility:

Current 12th Graders on track to graduate with a 2.0 GPA

Is on track to complete 12 (Concurrent Enrollment) College Credits by the end of 12th grade year.

Has completed their FAFSA and has an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) above 2001.

Timeline:

January /February- Complete FAFSA

February/March - Let your counselor know you are interested in ASCENT.

March - Counselors submit nominations to district - deadline extended to April 1, 2022

Once Students are nominated by their counselor they are considered Candidates for the ASCENT program.

March and April 2022

  • Eligible students nominated by the deadline will be placed in the

ASCENT Nominees 22-23 Google Classroom

  • Once students have accepted the Google Classroom, they will need to complete (with counselor support) the assignments within the ASCENT Google Classroom by April 15th by 11:59 pm

  • Students who apply after this date will be put on a waiting list
