About Jane-Der 

Germination and Birth 

White herons and blue ripples on the ponds behind Taoyuan Railway Station—that’s the birthplace of Jane-Der Elementary School. For turning this dream into reality we have to thank the leading local families and people’s representatives who prepared and lobbied for permission for a primary school. On 1 February 1995, the central government and the Taoyuan County Government gave the green light for Jane-Der, 60 classes in size. The school opened its doors in 1998.

Sprouting and Growth 

Under the leadership of our previous and current principals, our school has developed briskly, as is recognized by parents and the surrounding community alike. By 2017, our school had 65 regular classes, one special education class, and one kindergarten, with a total of more than 1,800 students. At present, the third and sixth grades are completely full, and we have requested the Education Bureau to allow enrolment control to safeguard the quality of the learning environment and students’ learning experience.
