Creating a Text: Through the Lens of 3rd Year Students

Having engaged with a range of texts across sessions 1 and 2, piece together a simple story using the 5WH strategy.

Task Description:

  • Work as a group to create a simple story (spoken, written or audiovisual) for your classmates, choosing from the following:

  1. Create a comic strip to tell the story

  2. Create a news report about your story

  3. Create a digital story

  4. Other

  • Create the success criteria considering 3rd Year students (may be of interest to consider the CEFR qualitative features of written and spoken language)

  • Use the elements of 5WH gathered as the skeleton of your story

  • Use words and expressions from the texts you have read across session 1 and 2 to help you construct your story

  • Use a medium of your choice to present your story to the group
