Remote/Hybrid Students

The library has a request form for books and calculators on the SHHS Library webpage. Here is the link: https://sites.google.com/jcschools.org/shhslibrary/home

The materials will be placed in the main office, and you will receive a phone call or email when the items are ready for pick up. Books will have a 2-week limit, and the due date will be stamped inside the back cover. Calculators will be renewed for you each week. Please send an email to hoilmant@jcschools.org or trentm@jcschools.org to renew books, should you need them longer.​



Students interested in having a chess club at Science Hill may contact the club sponsor, Ms. Melissa Phillips, by email at phillipsm@jcschools.org for assistance to complete the club application process. This is due before the Student Club Leadership meeting with administration on Wednesday September 23.

Families of SHHS football players and varsity cheerleaders can purchase tickets to the September 18 football game Today, September 17 from 9am-11:30am and from 1pm-4pm. Any remaining tickets can be purchased by all from 4pm-6pm today and tomorrow from 11am-1pm.These tickets will be sold from the SHHS gym ticket booth. Tickets are $7 cash only, no checks or electronic payments. Go TOPPERS!

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Would you like to learn more about how the college application process works? Want to learn more about scholarships, financial aid, and much more? Juniors: Would you like to get a head start for senior year and learn what you need to be thinking about this school year? Then you need to check out the virtual College Visit night on the Counselors’ webpage. Today at 6pm, the virtual college fair website will be active and many videos sharing information regarding senior year will be provided. Admissions counselors from many area colleges will also be sharing information about their respective colleges, so be sure to tune in for some valuable information that will help your school year go much smoother.

All girls interested in playing softball need to stop by Coach Higgins’ classroom A212 before October 2nd. Remote learners need to contact Coach Higgins by email (higginsj@jcschools.org) before October 2nd.

Any boy interested in wrestling this season must attend a brief meeting in Mr. Miller’s room, A209. Today @ 2:45 PM or Friday @ 2:45 PM

If you’re involved in a Fall sport and cannot attend the meeting please stop by room A209 during the school day and confirm that you will be wrestling this season.

September is Suicide Awareness month. Having thoughts of suicide is not unusual or shameful. Most people who experience even intense suicidal moments recover and live fulfilling lives. Getting professional help is important, and connecting to support of various kinds makes a difference in getting through these difficult times. Attention All Seniors!

You will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, Sept. 22nd here at SHHS.

We will offer breakfast from 7:00 - 7:30 that morning in the cafeteria. You must report to your testing room no later than 7:45 to check in.

You will need to bring the following Items with them on the morning of the ACT Exam:

· A photo ID (driver's license or student ID)

· ​Two #2 pencils with good erasers (NO mechanical pencils or ink pens)

· A permitted calculator for the mathematics test ​

Items not permitted in the testing room:

· No ​Cell Phones or electronic devices

· No Food or Drinks

· No Smart watches, fitness bands

· No books or magazines

· No headphones

If you have questions about your testing room, permitted calculators or anything related to ACT see your homebase teacher, counselor, or Dr. Morgan.
