This is a basic course designed to provide an introduction to general agriculture and will cover the following: soils, plants, animals, wildlife, agricultural construction, food science, supervised agricultural experience programs, and leadership. In the fall, the course will focus on agricultural career development, leadership, communications, personal finance, and mechanized agriculture. The students will also be introduced to FFA contests. In the spring semester, this course is designed to enhance agricultural understanding in the areas of production and agricultural science (focusing on Farming, Ranching, Horticulture, and Ag Mechanics). Counts towards high school credit.
