College Applications

Most colleges prefer students to apply using the Common Application, also known as the Common app. The Common Application is a web based application that students may use to apply to several colleges in less time. Students must create an account to begin the application process. The common application does require a recommendation from the counselor, as well as others. Take note that when entering the counselor's email please use the email address acaudill@jaccendel.k12.in.us. Some schools do require you to fill out an application provided on their website. You can find a list of them here. (link webpage or list)

Dual Credit

Work Permit Application

Before obtaining a work permit, you must have an Intention to Employ Form filled out by you, your employer, and a parent or guardian. Once filled out and signed, you can turn the Intention to Employ Form to the Guidance Office where it will be processed and you will receive a signed and sealed work permit. Intention to Employ Forms can be provided by employers or the guidance office, as well as online.

College Visits/Job Shadowing

Students must fill out our online form one week in advance to going on a college visit or arranging a job shadow day. Request your college day or job shadow visit here.

Parchment Transcript Request

Transcripts can be requested electronically using Parchment. Parchment is an online database that has the ability to use information from our student information system and create an online official transcript that can be sent to colleges and universities. Most universities prefer this method of receiving transcripts, however there are some that do not. Talk to the counselor today if you do not already have a Parchment account. www.parchment.com
