SCHEDULE

Day 1 (July 7): Standardisation & Technical Literacy

Apprentices are introduced to the professional hierarchy and the stage manager's role as the ultimate authority on backstage safety..

Day 2 (July 8): Strategic Planning, Venue Adaptability & Tech Apps

Reverse-engineering a production schedule from Opening Night back to Load-In & masterclass on the digital tools and apps used in modern Broadway production.

Day 3 (July 9): Live Practice & High-Pressure Problem Solving

Practical Training Sequences and crisis management — how to communicate under pressure, resolve backstage conflicts, and keep a show running when things go wrong.

Day 4 (July 10): Handover Trust & The Tech Table Relay

The final day puts everything to the test!
Call a live scene, handle an unscripted curveball, and respond in real time.

Stage Makeup Design (July 11): Take Centre Stage!

Hand-On masterclass covers colour theory, makeup application for the stage, best practices and includes a mini makeup starter kit for the first 50 paid registrants.

Who is this programme for?

TAP 2026 is designed for theatre practitioners, students, educators, and aspiring stage management and makeup design professionals. No prior experience is necessary.

Are there prerequisites?

Yes — Stage Management Workshop participants must complete four free online micro-courses before Day 1. Links are provided upon confirmed registration.

Who are the facilitators?

This year's programme features Broadway Production Stage Managers John C. Moore & Cherie Tay as well as International Production & Stage Manager Mijanne Webster. The Makeup Design Mastercalss will be led by internationally certified Broadway makeup designer Kirk Cambridge-Del Pesche.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Where is CCDC or CCD Centre?

CCDC is The Caribbean Child Developement Centre, it's near the UWI Bowl on the right-hand side. On July 11 you can also keep an eye out for JMTC feather banners near the entrance.

What should I bring or prepare?

If you are in the Stage Managment Worksop, complete the micro-courses ahead of Day 1 to set yourself up for success. An email will be sent to registrants with specifics on what to bring.
