The JA Library is such a great place to be!!    

If I haven't met you, my name is Ms. Tucker and I am the Librarian here at JA Elementary.   I love being in the Library and spending time with the students.  It's important to me to know what is in our Library  so I spend a lot of time reading or listening to the books that are here in the Library.  This helps me in recommending books to students, which in turn,  helps to encourage a love of reading (which is one of my favorite things!)   

Each week Kindergarten through 2nd grade come in for checkout and reading time.   There is bi-weekly checkout for 3rd - 6th grade.   There is such a wide variety of books that there is always something for everyone to enjoy!   The attached link gives more information regarding checkout days for each classroom and Library expectations.  Library Info/Expectations 

Another great thing we have in the Library is the Birthday Book Club.   At the beginning of the school year, adults can donate money for the Library to purchase a book for the Library in their students honor.   This club has added hundreds of new books to the Library over the years.
