Problems in History covers dytopian novels, such as the Giver, 1984, and Animal Farm which address the problem of totalitarian regimes, such as French Revolution, Moasist Revolution, Bolshevik Revolution that use control, censorship, conformity and loss of freedom.

The Alien and Seditions Acts, The Reign of Terror, The Duel of Hamilton and Arron Burr. The origin of the two party system. Washington and the Whiskey Rebellion. The Global threat of totalitarianism, Stalin, Mao, Lenin, and Castro.

This course covers civic engagement, citzen duties such as being informed, understanding the difference between informative news and biased news. The use of propaganda junk food news to misinform, patriotism, voting, understanding issues that shape and continue to shape our Constitution, money management, entrepreneurial studies, financial literacy and goal setting. Rich Dad Poor Dad Philosophy, Stock Market and Investing. How Rich people think about money differently. What types of debt are good? What types of debt are bad? Student loan is the worst possible type of debt because a business owner a person can declare bankruptcy and a student can not.
