Literature of a Theme: True Crime

This course explores the explosive popularity of the true crime genre and encourages students to read actively with an investigative approach. Students analyze highly engaging narratives to develop fundamental skills in literacy and critical thinking. Additionally, this course places an emphasis on media literacy to help students become socially responsible consumers of information and news.

Survey of Literature

This course gives students the opportunity to engage with complex fiction and nonfiction texts in preparation for the rigor of collegate level literary analysis. Students produce analytical and creative writing as they continue to develop the crucial communication skills that will serve them in their post-secondary endeavors and beyond.
