Jackson Volleyball

The 2023 Jackson Volleyball season came to an end tonight at the Post Season VB Banquet.

We acknowledged so many great achievements - both team and individual.

The 2023 season was a very special season that brought so many great memories that will last a lifetime.  We also honored our 9 seniors who had such a HUGE impact on Jackson Volleyball.

The Freshman team finished the season with a record of 26-5-3 record winning both Jackson Tournaments.

The JV had a season for the record books as this great group finished with a 31-3 record.  The 31 wins was a JV team record.

The JV team won the Farmington, Perryville, and St. Joseph's Tournaments.

The Varsity finished with a 29-7-3 record while playing the toughest schedule in school history  We battled teams like Lafayete (twice), Incarnate Word, Francis Howell Central, Francis Howell (who got second in state - and we swept them), St Pius, Cor Jesu, Nerinx Hall (twice), Marquette, and of course all the great teams in SEMO.

The 2023 season was blessed to have so many great leaders.  Most coaches will say a team should have between 1-3 captains.  I have always believed in "thinking outside the box" and when 7 players applied to be captains - well, having 7 captains was the ONLY thing that made sense.

Captains this year were - Grace Newell, Charlee Koepp, Christa Vandeven, Sydie Floyd, Nadia Wasilewski, Ella Domian, and Holland Guilliams.

We finished the evening honoring our 9 SENIORS.

Natalie Dry, Payton Gannon, Grace Newell, Charlee Koepp, Christa Vandeven, Sydie Floyd, Nadia Wasilewski, Ella Domian, and Holland Guilliams.

These 9 seniors put so much into Jackson Volleyball.  They truly bought into the concept that when you play for Jackson VB you are "a part of something much bigger than yourselves."  Everything they did was to make the team better.  We will miss them and wish them the absolute best in everything.
