Distance Learning

What is Distance Learning?

Distance Learning is a method of studying in which scholars and teachers do not meet in person but rather communicate via online platforms. The 6th Grade Team has been collaborating and working hard to develop a comprehensive Distance Learning experience that will provide scholars with full access to all curriculum they would receive in the classroom while still adhering to the fidelity of the classical education model. Scholars will participate in their learning via Google Classroom, Flipgrid, live video chats, and more!

Scholars who are enrolled in Distance Learning (DL) for the first semester will participate in our In-Person (IP) instruction via live-streaming for a portion of our day. The 6th Grade Team felt this was important to provide so our DL and IP scholars were not completely separated from each other since they have spent the first 6 weeks of school building a classroom community together online. This will ensure both groups of scholars are receiving the same instruction and curriculum pacing and allow our class to participate in more rewarding Socratic Discussions together.
