The United States J-1 Visa Program is a cultural exchange that attracts around 300,000 individuals to the U.S. from 200 countries each year.
Participants study in U.S. high schools, universities and research institutions; build professional networks; enhance English language and intercultural skills; or teach in U.S. schools.
The J-1 Summer Work Travel program provides foreign college students with the opportunity to live and work in the U.S. during their summer break. These temporary jobs help students afford to travel. Learn more at www.J-1.org.
The work program lasts for 3 months, after which students have an additional 30 days to travel and explore the USA.
J-1 Internship programs are designed to allow foreign college and university students or recent graduates to come to the United States to receive hands-on experience in U.S. business practices in their chosen occupational field.
Internships merge formal education and practical work experience and can last for up to 12 months.
Additional J-1 Visa Programs allow international candidates to visit and work in the U.S. There are options to teach, study, conduct research, show special skills or receive on the job training for periods ranging from a few weeks to several years.
