Summer Work and Travel
The Program
The Summer Work Travel program provides foreign students with an opportunity to live and work in the United States during their summer vacation from college or university to experience and to be exposed to the people and way of life in the United States. This program lasts for 3 months, after which, the students aim to travel around the USA and explore different areas and attractions during a 30 day "grace period". Students are not permitted to work during this time.

Consultation: We discuss your needs and identify the best candidates for your company.
Onboarding: We assist with the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for both employer and SWT students.
Ideal Positions for SWTs
Concession stand attendee
Restaurant servers/ bartenders
Amusement park worker
Hospitality / Housekeeping
Retail
Lifeguard
Are seasonal or temporary
Provide opportunities for regular communication and interaction with U.S. citizens and allow participants to experience U.S. culture
Additional information
SWTs require a minimum average of 32 hours per week as per the State Department's requirements
SWTs are screened for English proficiency, however in some cases they may not be fluent
Employers do not need to withhold FICA tax
