Faisal Hussain

Welcome to my webpage.

I am Faisal Hussain, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from IUT in 2016. My undergraduate thesis focused on Device-to-Device (D2D) communication underlaying cellular networks, where I co-developed a simulator from scratch to evaluate various resource allocation algorithms. I further explored this field in my Master’s thesis, titled "Joint Power Control and Resource Allocation for D2D Communications underlaying Cellular Networks", addressing performance optimization under interference constraints.

My area of reseach interests  are :

• Internet of Things (IoT)

• Network Security

• Data Science

In addition to these core areas, I actively supervise undergraduate research projects, particularly in blockchain technology, machine learning applications in networking, and cybersecurity.

Beyond teaching and research, I contribute to various departmental administrative responsibilities, supporting the academic and institutional development of the department.
