Purpose of the PARK AMENITIES: The PARK AMENITIES is a public property provided by the local municipal council to enable visitors to enjoy the park comfortably. The facilities also acts as a surveillance point to ensure that all park-goers are safe. As part of the effort to boost activities to the park, you are to design a PARK AMENITIES to be of world standard by using principles learnt from your Master Precedents Total Built Up Area = 300 sqm maximumNumber of Storey = minimum and maximum 2 storeys.

SITE PLANNING REQUIREMENT
Vehicle design - the project is heavily dependent on pedestrian circulation, however, minimal vehicle access is required to facilitate the operation of the building, namely:
COVERED DROP OFF-AREA - must allow head clearance of at least 5 meters for higher vehicle type
DISABLED PERSON’S PARKING (2 units) - must connect directly to the main entrance of the building, with suitable wheelchair ramp of 1:12 ratio
SERVICE ROAD - for the purpose of garbage disposal (truck), loading & unloading from F&B area, other services etc. Should be separated from the main entrance to the Drop Off.
Pedestrian Pathwaysshould be designed to connect the context to the building and from the building to the surrounding area.
Landscape treatment should be designed to allow aesthetic appeal of the site. Existing trees may be removed with valid reason.
SPECIAL OUTDOOR FEATURESAs the site has a significantly low amount of visitor due to lack of activity, students must propose an outdoor activity area connected to the building that acts as a CATALYST OF CHANGE to bring in more visitors to the site. This can be in the form of a skate park, an experimental garden area, an extensive playground or water play area, a sensory play area or such. The size of this special outdoor feature is limitless, so long as it does not exceed the boundary line or certain setback line that has been determined.
Existing Parking lots will be used for public parking, hence you are not required to design any new parking space for visitor.
SPATIAL REQUIREMENT
(Calculated under BUA = 300 sqm)
MAIN ENTRANCE with vehicle drop off area: Must be connected to the main pedestrian pathways and access for disabled person.
CAFE KITCHEN: must allow activities of food preparation, cooking, washing, storing and serving, with separate stations for food and drinks / dessert. Must be connected to the service road for loading/unloading and garbage disposal.
CAFE DINING: must accommodate at least 50 pax seating for indoor area, and 50 pax seating for outdoor area (may or may not compute to BUA), in various seating/table arrangement/capacity suitable for various group size. Must be facilitated by adequate hand washing facilities and condiment area if needed.
WASHROOM FACILITY - minimum 5 toilet cubicles + 1 shower each for male & female unit. 1 unit of shared Disabled toilet. Optional Lockers can be provided either within the units or at a common space outside.
RETAIL OUTLETS: minimum 2 units selling appropriate necessity for the area.
PRAYER ROOM: separate unit for male & female with ablution in each.
STAIRCASE: 2 unit within the main building with adequate travelling distance for fire safety.
OBSERVATION DECK
General Requirement: The building must consist a 1st floor level at any suitable portion of the buildingPLATFORM LIFT for access of disabled person to the upper floor.
