The Spring Grove Area High School Select Modern Band is an auditioned group of students in grades 9-12 representing the Modern Band program of Spring Grove Area High School.  The band has had the honor of performing for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association’s annual conference and was a featured performer at Messiah University.  This year, the students were selected to be featured performers at the PMEA All-State Conference in Erie, Pennsylvania, perform at the Appell Center in York, Pennsylvania as part of the York County Honors Music Festival, and were selected to be the opening act for Arrival (The Music of ABBA) the officially licensed touring band featuring many of the original musicians from ABBA.  The students perform covers as well as their own original compositions.  Their latest release, “Soar”, can be found on all streaming platforms.
