Student Intern, Events, Youth, and Family Programs
Indiana Black Expo, Inc. (IBE), was created 54 years ago to be a voice and vehicle for the social and economic advancement of youth and families in Indiana. Anchored by a core focus on education and economic empowerment, IBE develops programs that drive long-lasting, positive change for the underserved in communities across the State. Over the years, under the direction of strong civic and professional leadership, IBE is revered as a leading organization in the city of Indianapolis, the state of Indiana, and across the nation. IBE's strong ties to community residents, civic leadership, volunteers, and the media have earned IBE a reputation as a trusted, invaluable, empowering, and essential partner- not only for Indiana's Black community, but for Hoosiers across the State. While IBE, today, is known most readily for its signature attractions, the Circle City Classic, and the Summer Celebration festivals, its comprehensive offerings and services bring career and educational advancement, small and minority business opportunities, cultural arts exposure and experiences, and the chance to advocate for policies and systemic changes to eliminate historical inequities to thousands of Indiana's residents.
