The Burmese American Community Institute is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 that provides educational and vocational support to the Burmese community in greater Indianapolis. The BACI supports community members regionally, nationally, and globally through strategic partnerships and advocacy. Since its inception, the BACI has assisted over 20,000+ individuals.

Role overview: The Burmese American Community Institute (BACI) is a dynamic, forward-looking, and growing non-profit organization. We seek well-qualified, highly motivated, creative, and solutions-oriented candidates to fill in the part-time intern position with the Basic Need Program. The Basic Need Program at the BACI mainly focuses on the essential needs of the community members, focusing on physical health, mental health, housing, transportation. The intern will be accessing the basic needs of the community members and provide them with the necessary needs. The intern must report to the program manager.

Essential role functions:
You will be involved with clients and their families for direct services, as well as involved in process improvement initiatives and creating standard work in an effort to effect change on a larger scale.
The case manager should effectively communicate and collaborate with all members of the Basic Needs Program members & the clients to facilitate the services in a timely manner.
Event management of vaccine clinics and physical sports event.
Maintain principles, patience and good quality of services in all services.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members.
Record all data required by the BACI Basic Needs Program.
