Cultural repatriation is the process of returning stolen objects of historical, cultural, and spiritual value to their communities of origin worldwide. The FBI Art Crime Team, and a number of IUPUI Museum Studies graduate students, are collaborating to ensure objects are safely prepared and returned to their original communities. Through this collaboration, the team has worked to successfully return hundreds of objects. As a result, these objects will be made available to international community members to access and learn about their cultural heritage.
