The purpose of this project was to explore cultures of health in different regions of the world by engaging nursing students through IU Global Gateway technology. This presented a global oppportunity to interact beyond the classroom with other nursing students in international universities. The interactive call technology fostered new university relationships and allowed students to assess healthcare in their own nation, as well as in Mexico and Spain. The international collaboration enhanced students’ perceptions of global health and how the nursing profession can lead in improving health outcomes.
