In 2018, the School of Dentistry received a federal HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) grant for the proposed project plans of strengthening the oral health workforce in Indiana. The HRSA grant was awarded to improve and expand health care services for under-served people. The projects will address the goals of expanding the CBDE (Community-Based Dental Education) program, prepare dental students for culturally competent care, increase the CBDE rotation length and refine student preparedness as well as continually refine the CBDE model.
