Chinese New Year Bazaar 2025
13 January 2025 to 9 February 2025
Embracing the Year of the Snake with Generosity and Care
The Chinese New Year is upon us, and ItsRainingRaincoats is thrilled to kick off our annual Bazaar, this time celebrating the Year of the Snake.
As we prepare to welcome the new year with renewal and reflection, let’s also remember the migrant workers who contribute so much to the fabric of our society. Many of these workers spend the year away from their families, and as we get ready for the festivities, we want to ensure they feel valued and supported during this season. Our goal is to extend a warm hand to these hardworking individuals and make them feel part of the celebrations.
Our donation drive will take place from January 13th to February 9th, with the CNY Bazaar happening at Tuas South RC on February 9th. We invite you to participate in this heartfelt initiative by donating and visiting the bazaar to show your support. It’s the perfect chance to give back, clear out your home, and make a meaningful impact.
Let’s work together to bring joy and care to our migrant worker community, and make this Year of the Snake one to remember. See you at the bazaar!
There are many ways in which individuals and groups can get involved this year:
- Donation of Unopened CNY Goodies
You can drop off unopened donations of brand-new CNY goodies at our main office, located at 217 Henderson Road #03-07, Singapore 159555. We are open every day except Wednesdays, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. All donations will be collected and then delivered to Tuas South RC, as well as worksites and dormitories.
2. Donation of New or Preloved Items
Along with the tradition of spring cleaning, let’s consider sustainability. Items that are still in good condition, but no longer needed at home, can be passed on to our migrant brothers, who will certainly be able to make good use of them.

Please ensure that all items are in EXCELLENT condition. Food and toiletries MUST BE NEW & UNOPENED. Your donations of these items will help make a meaningful difference!
3. Volunteer at the Bazaar
Donate your time by signing up as a volunteer! We have a variety of duties that volunteers can sign up for, including sorting donations, worker outreach, and crowd control.
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a fun and festive event while also helping to support our migrant workers.

4. Makan with Migrant Workers
This Chinese New Year, as we gather for reunion dinners and feasts, let's also extend our warmth to our migrant brothers by inviting them for a meal.
Whether at a restaurant or in your own home, take the opportunity to connect and learn more about the people who help build our city!

5. Fruits Distribution at Worksites
Oranges are an essential part of Chinese New Year celebrations, symbolizing good luck, prosperity, and abundance. This festive tradition extends beyond homes to include sharing fruits with others, especially those working hard during the holiday season. If you’d like to distribute oranges and other fruits to workers and worksites, feel free to reach out to us at inspirre@itsrainingraincoats.com, and we’ll help connect you to a worksite. We also encourage you to personally distribute fruits or snacks to any road workers you may encounter in your neighbourhood!
