PHOTO ALBUM FROM TRIP (you too can contribute!)

Come join us in the Tetons! This FOP trip is motivated in large part by the opportunity to honor the legacy of Ken Pierce and his extensive body of research in Jackson Hole and the Teton Range. We will also explore recent and ongoing research on themes of glaciation, tectonism and faulting, slope processes, lake records, basin evolution, paleoclimate, and environmental history. All the field trip stops will lend themselves well to sparking lively multidisciplinary discussions.

The excursion will encompass two full days of field stops distributed throughout Jackson Hole and the eastern Teton Range front in Grand Teton National Park; see below for an overview. A more detailed itinerary and road log will be communicated as the date gets closer.

In typical FOP fashion, all are welcome! To keep costs down and provide maximum flexibility, all participants arrange their own transportation, campsites/lodging, and food. Registration fees, if necessary, are to be determined. The non-organization of the Friends of the Pleistocene has thrived for more than 80 years through this model.
