The following four scholarships allow High Schools to nominate students for these scholarships. If you are interested in attending NC State, UNC Charlotte, UNC Chapel Hill, or Davidson College, and are interested in the scholarship please contact your school counselor.
NC STATE Park Scholarship: Learn more & Apply
A Park Scholar is someone who demonstrates attributes in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
It is self-nominate this year!!
Requirements:
Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5 and/or a minimum weighted GPA of 4.0.
Be a United States citizen, permanent resident of the U.S., or graduating from a high school located in the U.S. (regardless of citizenship status).
Apply for fall, first-year admission into a baccalaureate program at NC State.

Levine Scholarship Program: Learn more & Apply
The Levine Scholars Program is UNC Charlotte’s premier merit scholarship. The program invites the brightest, most capable students to UNC Charlotte and gives them the tools, resources and support they need to explore the world around them, engage deeply in their communities and excel across disciplines.
Selection Criteria:
Students must demonstrate a commitment to community service,
Student hold an academic record that reflects a sustained passion for knowledge
Students possess a capacity for ethical leadership that elevates fellow students to a higher standard.

Morehead-Cain Scholarship: Learn more & Apply

The program is built around our belief that, as a Belk Scholar, you possess unique talents that should be recognized and nurtured. The Belk Scholarship will provide you comprehensive funding (tuition, fees, room and board) plus special opportunity stipends that allow you great flexibility in the on- and off-campus opportunities you choose to explore. Students need to be nomiated by the High School they are attending. Please let your counselor know if you are interesting in attending Davidson College.

Jefferson Foundation Scholarship - University of Virginia
The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is pleased to announce that they are now accepting nominations for the Jefferson Scholarship.
Jefferson Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate excellence and exceptional potential in the areas of leadership, scholarship, and engaged citizenship. Recipients receive the entire cost of attendance at UVA and many supplemental enrichment experiences—a value of more than $345,000.
Criteria - No one may apply for a Jefferson . Eligible schools are asked to nominate a student in the senior class who best exemplifies excellence in the areas of leadership, scholarship, and citizenship.
Successful nominees demonstrate exceptional leadership talents, an understanding of the broader community around them, and uncommon academic abilities.
Prior interest in the University of Virginia and financial need should not be factors in selecting a nominee.
Nominations are completed by both school officials and students and include a scholastic report, extracurricular activities, and two essays.
The Jefferson Scholars Foundation is separate from the Office of Undergraduate Admission and does not have access to the Common Application.All nomination materials for Jefferson and Walentas Scholarships must be submitted by counselors and nominees according to the regional deadline. Most regions have a deadline of December 1. Schools in the International and Domestic At-Large regions have a separate deadline of November 15. Deadlines are communicated throughout the process.
The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program provides eight semesters of full tuition, room and board, and most mandatory fees for Scholars at Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill. Scholars also have access to generous funding for up to three summer experiences, funding for conferences throughout the academic year, and for two semesters of study abroad.

Write a one - two page typed (double spaced, using 11 or 12 point type font) personal statement in which you develop your position on the following: a. describe what your life's goals and objectives are, and how obtaining additional education or a college degree will further these goals and objectives. b. explain what qualifies you for this scholarship and c. describe your financial need for scholarship assistance. 2. 3 recommendation letters from teachers, coaches, employers, etc. 3. Heisman High School Scholarship $1,000 - $10,000 Deadline: October 17, @ 3:00pm
Eligibility:
Must have a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
Must have participated in at least one sport in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade
Must be a leader in the school and community and serve as a role model to underclassmen.

GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship $40,000 Deadline: January 4, 2024
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive,
integrity, and citizenship.
B) Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent).

Future Food Scholarship Competition $5000 Deadline: January 15, 2024
To qualify for the Future Food Scholarship Competition, students must complete their JWU admissions application and the competition application before January 15, 2024.
Mensa US Scholarship $2,500 Deadline: January 15, 2024
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
1) Be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year
following the application date.
2) Submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals.

Breanna Coleman Nursing Scholarship $5,000 Deadline: January 24, 2024
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be a high school senior who will be pursuing a four-year degree in nursing.
B) Be involved in volunteer work or other extracurricular activities outside of school.

Catherine Tucker Memorial Scholarship
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must be an African American High School female in the counties of Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Iredell, and Wilkes.
Applicant must have a minimum overall weighted GPA (grade point average) of 3.0
Must have been accepted for Fall enrollment into a 2 year community college or 4 year college or university in the state of North Carolina and plan to attend.
Must submit a copy of a letter of acceptance by June 5, 2024 in order to receive the scholarship.
Must agree to attend the Catherine S. Tucker Banquet typically on the 3rd Sunday in November 2024
Must agree to participate in limited media activities (if applicant is under the age of 18 upon the Awards Ceremony date, she must have parental or guardian consent)
Key Reminders:
Please be sure to complete all parts of your application, and include all required supplemental information (photo, 2 SEALED letters of recommendation, essay, and official transcript). The application is a Google form. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
Applications must be received by the application due date (January 31, 2024).
Applications received after this date will NOT receive consideration for the award.
Applicants selected as finalists must complete a structured interview with the Scholarship Committee. Finalists must attend the interview to be considered for the award.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Deadline: January 9, 2024
To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:
Be a graduating, minority high school senior;
Be a United States citizen;
Present evidence of financial need;
Demonstrate a record of academic excellence;
Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service;
Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college/university within the United States or affiliated with a United States- based college or university;
Have not accrued more than 25% of credits needed to graduate from college.
Baer Reintegration Scholarship $5,000 - 10 Awards Deadline: January 31, 2024
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.
B) Be age 18 years or older by the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic school year.

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be an incoming college freshman or a student transferring from a two-year program into a four-year
program in the Fall of 2024.

Live Mas Scholarship Program $25,000 Deadline: January 3, 2024
ELIGIBILITY
The Live Más Scholarship Program is open only to individuals who meet all of the following criteria:
Applicant must be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (“D.C.”) located within the United States or D.C., or the dependent child of an active duty member of the U.S. military, who is at least 16 years of age and no older than 26 years of age
Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational program located in the United States or D.C. (including accredited two- and four-year colleges, universities, vocational-technical, and trade schools) and in good academic standing.
Applicant must be willing to work with the Taco Bell Foundation’s Scholarship Management Company throughout the application and award process.
HOW TO ENTER

Falconer Foundation Scholarship $10000 Deadline: February 23, 2024

In 2020 I established a non-profit to provide scholarships to high school seniors who demonstrate a deep commitment to Fine Arts and Service. Last year the foundation awarded a $10,000 scholarship to a Statesville High School senior accepted to UNCC to study Kinesiology. The year before, A North High School student won and attends Brevard College studying Musical Theater.
A $10,000 scholarship will be awarded again this year to one applicant to pursue higher education or a certified trade. The deadline for completing the survey is February 23, 2024 at 5:00pm.

Charlotte Metro Relocation Scholarship $1000 Deadline: March 1, 2024
On behalf of the Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council, we are happy to share the release of this year’s Jane Osborne Memorial Scholarship Program offering a one-time award of $1,000, which will be presented to one qualifying Charlotte area high school senior this year.
The scholarship is available to current high school seniors who have relocated into the Charlotte area sometime between grades 9 (after 8th grade graduation) and 12.
Attached is the application form for the 2024 CMARC Scholarship.

Master Gardener Scholarship $1000 Deadline: March 31, 2024

The Extension Master Garden Volunteer Association of Iredell County is offering a $1000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior or current full-time (12+ semester hours) college student in good standing with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
To qualify, a student must be an Iredell County resident who is planning or currently enrolled in an agricultural or horticulture program at an accredited North Carolina College/University, Community College, or certification program. Additional requirements are detailed in the scholarship program guidelines.

Megan Austin Knox Memorial Scholarship $3000 Deadline: April 17, 2024
The Megan Austin Knox Memorial Scholarship is given annually to a graduating senior from South Iredell, Lake Norman and Mooresville High Schools. Megan was a 1994 graduate of South Iredell High School, she was the Class President all four years in high school and involved in many activities while at South. The scholarship is made possible by the Megan Austin Knox Memorial Golf Tournament held every October. The amount of the scholarship is based on the profits from the golf tournament each year. This year the amount is $3,000, which is given directly to the school that the senior will be attending.
Lynn Hostetler Memorial Scholarship Deadline: April 23rd, 2024
Campbell Masonic Lodge #374 in Troutman will be again awarding scholarships for 2024. Applications can be picked up in the Student Center. They are due back no later than April 24th.
Cooking for Christ Scholarship Deadline: March 28th

Scholarship opportunity for I-SS Seniors! Cooking For Christ, a non-profit organization, recognizes graduating high school seniors for community service hours, by rewarding (2) scholarships valued at (1) $1,500.00 (Winner) and (1) $1,000.00 (Runner-up) each academic year. This is the first year Cooking For Christ has opened the scholarship to all I-SS high schools.
Delta Sigma Theta Scholarship Deadline: March 22nd
The Network Student Scholarship Deadline: March 28th
The Network will award an annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of
academic achievement, initiative, and financial need. To qualify, the scholarship applicant must:
(1) be a citizen of the United States and sponsored by an active member of the Network; (2) be a graduating high
school senior who has applied for admission in a post-high school program or a freshman in a post-high school
program; (3) complete a scholarship application package on the approved form with all required documents
identified in the application guidelines; and (4) submit the completed scholarship package to the Network
Scholarship Chairman by Thursday, March 28, 2024. Completed applications will be considered by the
designated scholarship committee for final selection. In the absence of an identified scholarship committee, the
Network Executive Board will make the final selection. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient
after May 1 of the year the scholarship is awarded and may be used for tuition, books, fees, or expenses.

Wilkes Broadcasting Scholarship $5000 Deadline: April 19th, 2024
Pick up applications in the Student Center
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 19, 2024. Applicants must be interested in a career in broadcasting, marketing, advertising or a related field.
Class of 1977 Scholarship $500 Deadline: April
Applications are available in the Student Center.
All South Iredell graduates are eligible for this scholarship if you are planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college.
Matthew Scott Bailey Memorial Scholarship $2,500 Deadline: April 26, 2024
Applications can be picked up in the Student Center.
This scholarship is to honor Matthew's Memory and give back to the community.
Eligibility: South Iredell senior with a weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher who have participated in at least one Varsity level sport.
Circle of Giving Scholarship TBD Deadline: April 19th, 2024
Available to all graduating seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher who plan to attend college.
Iredell County Extension Scholarship $500 Deadline: May 1, 2024
Applications are available in the Student Center.
Available to any graduating senior that plans to attend a 2 or 4 year college or university.
NAACP Scholarship $1500 Deadline: April 30th, 2024
Applications available in the Student Center.
Available to graduating seniors planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college or university. Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
Drum-Wilkinson Educational Scholarship $250 Deadline: May 31st, 2024
Scholarship Application and instructions
The completed application must be postmarked by May 31, 2024 in order to receive consideration by our scholarship selection committee. We are also allowing email submissions this year, and instructions as to how to complete that process are contained within the application.
