Due to the significant impact the Israelite House of David has had on the history, culture, and economy of Southwestern Michigan and vice versa, and in the interest of framing the colony’s place in that history, the Archives & Collection maintains a Local History Collection. The collection primarily focuses on the Twin Cities (Benton Harbor and St. Joseph), but also includes archival material and artifacts relating to Berrien County.
Research
The processing of collections to preserve the history of the area is an integral part of our mission. As the Archives & Collections staff is in the process of organizing the Local History Collection, it is currently not available to the public.
