How do I apply to the Ambassadors of Hope program?

What is the admissions deadline? How do I find out if I've been accepted?

      • The nomination deadline for the Ambassadors of Hope program is October 31, 2018. Prospective Ambassadors and Companions must be nominated together by their local ISP Coordinator. The Ambassador and Companion pair will then complete the AOH online application. Ambassadors and Companions must submit their completed application by December 31, 2018. Candidates will be informed of their acceptance in mid-February, 2019.

When does the Ambassador of Hope program start?

      • The program begins April 26-30, 2019 in Chicago. Ambassadors and Companions will attend the Network Leadership Conference (April 26-28) followed by the AOH Orientation Retreat (April 28-30).

What are the AOH retreat dates? Are Ambassadors and Companions required to attend all gatherings?

      • Ambassadors attend all four (4) primary formation gatherings including the ISP Network Leadership Conference, Orientation Retreat and Ambassadors Retreat as well as one (1) Network Service Opportunity over the course of the 2-year program.
      • Companions attend the AOH Orientation Retreat and two (2) ISP Network Leadership Conferences over the course of the 2-year program.

How much time is required to participate in this program?

      • The Ambassadors of Hope program is 2 year program beginning in April, 2019.
          • For Ambassadors, the program requires approximately 10-12 days of travel per year and a minimum of 5 hours per month for local formation activities.
          • Companions should expect approx. 6 days of travel per year and and 5-8 hours a month for local formation activities.

How many Ambassadors and Companions will participate in the inaugural cohort?

      • The inaugural cohort will welcome 6-7 Ambassador-Companion pairs for a total of 12-14 participants.

What is the estimated cost of the program?

      • The ISP network office will cover the cost of the AOH program and direct travel expenses. There are no additional costs to participants or teams.
