Here are some of the things that have been going on in the Early Years this week:
How on earth would you get a hippo up to the moon? We have been looking at stories by David Walliams, and class 1A designed different kinds of rockets to help the hippo make the long journey to space!
Year 2
Last Friday was Owl Pellet Day in Class 2. Our little scientists had their own pellet to dissect. They had to predict what they were going to discover before they opened the foil package. Then, with great excitement and anticipation...and a little apprehension from some, silence descended on the classes as they carefully dissected the pellet, using tweezers, magnifying glasses or just their fingers. This was followed by amazed cries on finding all the different bones - skulls were a great find, as were the incredibly sharp incisors that had belonged to a mouse!
