SECONDARY
After-school sports
The International School of Monaco is committed to providing a broad extracurricular programme of sporting activities for our students. Our extracurricular activities help children develop socially, emotionally, physically and academically. They increase students’ confidence levels and teach them responsibility and discipline.
These extracurricular sporting activities, taking place from Monday to Friday, provide students with an opportunity to learn new skills, further develop existing talents and compete in local, regional and international competitions. All of our sports are delivered by highly competent staff and in some instances, with the help and support of local associations.
(All after-school sports activities are dependent on facility availability and a minimum number of participants being present.)
REGISTRATION & TRANSPORTATION
Registration
We strongly advise all parents to look carefully at the options provided and discuss the best activities for your child before encouraging them to sign-up.
Registration can be completed by accessing THIS google form. Many activities have a limited number of spaces so we ask that you choose carefully, but act quickly. Activities will start the week beginning Monday 16th September unless otherwise indicated.
Transportation
A bus service will be provided for many of the activities and will return students to ISM once the activity is finished. It is the responsibility of the parent to notify the school in good time if there is a requested change to any of these stipulations. Please complete the above form to indicate your preferred mode of transportation for your child.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Kit
In some instances, such as Football and Volleyball, students will be given an ISM training top that should be worn at all times during the sporting ECA. For all other sports, students should wear their ISM sports kit.
Google Classroom
tudents should join the ISM Sports Google Classroom using this code: isyligz. Information regarding all activities, events, tournaments and competitions will be available on this site. Only ISM registered student email addresses will be admitted. Each activity will also have it’s own individual Google classroom which will be shared with students once they have been registered.
Please ask a member of the coaching staff for any codes, or feel free to contact Mr Ralph (Director of Sport) at mark.ralph@ismonaco.com
Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation, the school will aim to notify parents by midday via email. Students will be notified through the google classroom.
Attendance
For any student wishing to represent the school in competitions and tournaments throughout the year, regular attendance and compliance with the school behaviour policy is required. Attendance at training is not a guarantee of selection, and should there be an issue with a student’s availability, please contact a member of the PE department at the start of the year.
