SECONDARY
After-school sports
The International School of Monaco is committed to providing a broad extracurricular programme of sporting activities for our students. Our extracurricular activities help children develop socially, emotionally, physically and academically. They increase students’ confidence levels and teach them responsibility and discipline. These extracurricular sporting activities, taking place from Monday to Friday, provide students with an opportunity to learn new skills, further develop existing talents and compete in local, regional and international competitions. All of our sports are delivered by highly competent staff and in some instances, with the help and support of local associations.
(All after-school sports activities are dependent on facility availability and a minimum number of participants being present.)
REGISTRATION & TRANSPORTATION
Registration
We strongly advise all parents to look carefully at the options provided and discuss the best activities for your child before encouraging them to sign-up.
Registration can be completed in early September. Many activities have a limited number of spaces so we ask that you choose carefully, but act quickly.
Transportation
A bus service will be provided for students to get to their activities where required, and in some instances, such as Roquebrune, a return bus will be provided. For ECA’s in Monaco, a return bus will not be provided.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Kit
In some instances, such as Football and Volleyball, students will be given an ISM training top that should be worn at all times during the sporting ECA. For all other sports, students should wear their ISM sports kit.
Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation, the school will aim to notify parents by midday via email. Students will be notified through the Google classroom.
Attendance
For any student wishing to represent the school in competitions and tournaments throughout the year, regular attendance and compliance with the school behaviour policy is required. Attendance at training is not a guarantee of selection, and should there be an issue with a student’s availability, please contact a member of the PE department at the start of the year.
