Director of Studies

I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than eighteen years with a specific concentration in English Second Language development, the teaching of reading and writing, and higher education counseling. My most recent educational experience has been shaped by four years of successful leadership as a Director of Studies and two years as an the director of Student affairs at international schools in Kuala Lumpur. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educational leader to ISK and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

Along with teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at ISK by building strong relationships with parents, students, and community partners. We will focus on education initiatives, Common Core skills, use of MAP data to inform instruction, and providing exciting and challenging opportunities for all students.

As your Director of Studies, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors—teachers, students and parents—are happy to be here. This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, and nurturing environment.

I have been active in sports in the community and at the Universities and International schools that I have worked at in Malaysia. In fact, I have helped form and advise four student lead Ultimate Frisbee teams, and one Ultimate Frisbee club teams in Kuala Lumpur - I hope to start such teams in Kuantan as well.

Respectfully,

Carroll Moreton Jr.
