Today the word "madia" is often used to refer to a piece of living room furniture. The original meaning of the term has now been lost: Madia was a furniture used for mixing and preparing food.

During 2019, the company Porada, with POLI.design, announced an international competition of ideas for different types of madia. Consistently with the thesis project, I used the themes of the competition to propose the design of a panarina madia, typical of the Tuscan rural tradition.
The objective of the project was to recreate a piece of furniture with these functions, trying to recover domestic shapes and structures now forgotten. The project, in full Porada style, presents innovative details and devices to meet the actually needs and requirements.
