>> Desckrib
Same pieces, different functions. A product that allows the reassembly of parts to take on different functions according to different needs.
"Openess makes the world go round" is both the name of a course followed during the Erasmus mobility in Germany and the philosophy of life spread by the teacher. The course was structured in open design and eco-sustainable design lessons based on the circular economy.
The knowledge I received during the semester led me to design a piece of furniture that accompany children in their growth. Baby gate cribs tend to fall into disuse or become trash after the child's third year of life.
Deskcrib (bed-cradle) presents itself as a solution to extend the life cycle of a product that has a limited lifespan. The object has strategic measurements and joints, so that most of the pieces that make up the crib can be easily and intuitively used to assemble a desk as soon as the child grows up. In this way, users will extend the life of the object, reducing waste and, not least, observing a considerable economic saving.
