Established in 2017, Blooming Lotus was founded by us - Minh and Peter, ISHCMC students.

Our goal is to create an innovative, cheap, adaptable, and automatic irrigation system with IoT and artificial intelligence that can be implemented in rural areas where technology is limited.

We envision that the system can gather data from sensors, display this on the web, control a multitude of connected devices, and automatically respond to dynamic sensor data using machine learning - making it easy for farmers to manage their farm(s) anywhere at anytime.

Finally, we aim to deploy our system in farms across Vietnam and in some rural areas in neighboring countries like Laos and Cambodia.

Our initiative is in line with the UNSDGs as we sought for these measures as our framework, and thus inspire the project. Considering our background, we especially wanted to approach Goals 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy for sustainable development - and 15 - Management of Resources to enrich our natural habitat and facilitate biodiversity, while also make our product accessible for others to equally take part in the green initiatives - a part of our approach towards Goal 4.4.
