PARENT ANNOUNCEMENT (11)
OCTOBER 29, 2026
SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE
OUR COMMITMENT TO STUDENT SAFETY
As a part of our ongoing review of safety and security procedures, our leadership has updated our early departure procedures for emergencies, with particular attention to parent communication and student dismissal.
Should an emergency arise during the school day that requires students to depart campus early, families will be notified through our established email and SMS channels. Our procedures also ensure that students remain in designated areas with supervision and are cared for until they can be safely picked up by parents or buses.
If parents choose to pick up their children during an early departure, they should report to the main reception area of their child’s respective campus to share their presence for early pick-up and a staff member will bring their child to them. Anyone other than a parent picking up a student must have direct parent authorization provided to the school by completing the form that will be emailed to you at the time that the Early Departure is announced.
The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our highest priority. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.

RESCHEDULING ASD & BSD INTERNATIONAL DAY
After careful consideration, we have decided to reschedule International Day to a date in the spring, where it will coincide with our WOW Week celebrations. We believe this will create an even more vibrant and memorable experience for our whole community.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the parents and staff who have already been planning and preparing for this event. Your dedication and enthusiasm mean so much to us, and we are grateful for the time and care you have already invested. We are excited to come together and celebrate the rich cultures and homes that make our community so special.
More details will follow as we approach the new date.
AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR FUTURE ENGINEERS
ISG Grade 11 and Year 12 students interested in engineering have an exciting opportunity to take part in a fully funded, week-long program in Spain in March 2027, hosted by IE University.
With a focus on designing solutions under the theme of Beyond Earth: Designing Solutions for the Future, the program offers students a chance to explore engineering challenges and connect with their interest in STEM.
Only 15 students will be selected, and participants will also be eligible for a 30% award toward an IE University bachelor's degree beginning in 2028, subject to admission. Grade 11 and Year 12 students planning to begin university in 2028 are encouraged to learn more and apply.
Our counselors will share further details and application information with interested students.
RECOGNIZING ASD STUDENT POWERLIFTING CHAMPION
We are proud to celebrate ASD student Mohamed’s remarkable success at the Kingdom National Powerlifting Championship in Riyadh, where he earned four gold medals, one silver medal and set three Saudi national records.
Competing in the 74 kg weight class, Mohamed secured first place in both the squat (197.5 kg) and bench press (135 kg), setting national records in each. He also placed second in the deadlift (222.5 kg).
With an impressive combined total of 555 kg, Mohamed claimed first place in his weight class and across the entire Sub-Junior age division, setting a third national record.
This remarkable accomplishment reflects Mohamed's discipline and hard work. Congratulations, Mohamed, on this incredible achievement!
ISG COMMUNITY
SUPPORTING CHILDREN THROUGH DIFFICULT TIMES AND CRISIS
During times of stress, crisis, or unexpected change, children often look to their families for safety, guidance, and emotional stability. We are certainly experiencing a time like that now. Reflected in our commitment to student wellbeing and belonging, creating a supportive environment at home helps children navigate difficult circumstances with resilience.
Practical ways to support your child include maintaining predictable daily routines, encouraging open and age-appropriate conversations, and providing extra comfort and reassurance. Remain thoughtful about what your child overhears when you are having adult conversations, and prioritize intentional "unplugged" family time to reduce collective anxiety. Simple shared activities, such as going for evening walks, playing board games, preparing meals together or engaging in creative arts and reading offer grounded opportunities to connect without the noise of constant news or screen distractions. Finally, reassure your children that their feelings are valid and that trusted adults are there to keep them safe.
Pay attention to signs that your child may be struggling or in need of extra support. Behaviors to watch for include sudden changes in sleep or eating habits, increased withdrawal or clinginess, difficulty concentrating or uncharacteristic emotional outbursts. If you notice ongoing distress or feel unsure how to help, please reach out to our school counselors and support team. Partnering together ensures your child receives the care, guidance, and resources necessary to feel safe and supported.
CLASS SPOTLIGHT ON KG2 & YEAR 1
