SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE
Dear ISG Families,
The time has flown by this school year. Reaching October Break is always an annual milestone. As we head into this break, we want to take a moment to connect and send our warmest wishes to you and your children.
We recognize that this break comes during a time of news very close to home from the regional conflict that can weigh heavily on many of us. This break is a time to pause, reflect and be reminded of our strong school community. You have navigated the firsts for the new school year, including building exciting new routines for your children and family as we all engage in supporting learning at ISG.
As a school, we remain committed to providing a safe, welcoming and supportive space for every child. Whether your family spends the break resting, traveling or unplugging from the news, we encourage you to meaningfully check-in with one another, express kindness and reach out if you need support.
Our break has officially begun today and we return to campus on Sunday, October 25.
Thank you for your continued confidence and partnership with ISG for the education of your children. Wishing your family a warm and restful fall break!
BUILDING A SENSE OF BELONGING IN A GLOBAL FAMILY
Moving between countries or living far from extended family in the Eastern Province can challenge a child's sense of stability. At ISG, our value of Acceptance reminds us that belonging starts when every child feels seen, valued, and respected for their unique identity within our diverse community.
To nurture this feeling at home, establish small, meaningful family routines like shared weekend breakfasts, evening walks along the Khobar Corniche, or regular check-ins. Creating predictable rhythms offers children a grounded anchor and reassurance, no matter how frequently their broader surroundings or international schedules change.
Connecting with the wider local environment also deepens this foundation. Families can help children cultivate a meaningful sense of place and lasting connection by actively engaging with local cultural events, supporting community initiatives in school and your local community in the Eastern Province, and fostering open conversations about shared experiences.
CLASS SPOTLIGHT ON KG1 & FS2 ACROSS ISG
There is meaningful learning happening in classrooms across ISG every day, and we want to make more of it visible. ISG class spotlights highlight learning experiences from across our campuses.
Each spotlight will offer a glimpse into what students are exploring, creating and learning. Explore the KG 1 and FS2 Class Spotlight.
ISG COMMUNITY
APPLY TO JOIN YOUR CAMPUS COUNCILS
Parents are invited to consider serving on their campus Campus Council, an opportunity to share perspectives and provide feedback directly to campus leadership.
Campus Councils bring together parents, staff, students and principals to discuss campus operations, learning plans and activities. Councils are consultative, not decision-making bodies; their role is to provide constructive feedback and help school leaders better understand the experiences of the campus community.
Campus Councils complement our Parent Teacher Groups (PTGs). While Councils focus on campus voice, dialogue and feedback, PTGs focus on community building, activities and engagement.
To get involved, please review the information flyer linked above and complete the form by October 15 to express your interest in serving on your campus Campus Council.
CAMPUS IMPROVEMENTS & MAINTENANCE
During the October break, our Operations team will be carrying out a range of maintenance, repairs and improvement projects across ISG campuses. The work includes facility upkeep, painting and flooring maintenance, improvements to staff and parent areas and updates to selected learning and office spaces.
These projects are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, welcoming and functional environments for our students, staff and families. We appreciate the work of our Operations team in making these improvements happen while our campuses are quieter during the break.
