SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATE
Dear Parents,
At ISG, the diversity each of your families brings to our school community is valued and important. Together, we create in our community the humanity essential to our world and cultivate students who value and engage in compassionate action.
COMING SUMMER 2027: ISG SUMMER CAMPS - SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH US
Something new is being planned at ISG next summer!
ISG is planning to launch ISG Summer Camps 2027, offering engaging, in-person summer experiences designed for students to explore interests, develop new skills, stay active and connect with friends. We are exploring a range of experiences including robotics, STEM, sports, swimming, arts, design, languages and more.
As we consider our plans for Summer 2027, we want to hear from our families. We invite you to complete a brief Family Interest Survey to help us better understand your interest, preferred dates and schedules, types of camp experiences, and other factors that are important to your family.
The survey will take approximately 3–5 minutes to complete.
Your feedback will help shape our planning as we develop an ISG Summer Camp for 2027. More information about dates, camp offerings, registration and costs will be shared near winter break.

ISG PEP EVENT FEATURED BY NESA
Our recent Parent Education Program (PEP) event has been featured by the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA) in an article highlighting ISG’s partnership with parents in navigating important decisions around their children’s education.
The PEP event brought together parents and educators for meaningful conversations about post-secondary learning pathways, helping families better understand the opportunities available to students and how to prepare for what comes next. In addition, parents learned about external assessment tools utilized by ISG as one data point for our students to inform instruction throughout the school year.
We are pleased to see this work recognized by NESA and to share the story with our wider community.

SAFEGUARDING DURING WEEKEND EVENTS
At ISG, student safety and child safeguarding remain our highest priorities. Please review our campus access protocols for weekend and after-school activities:
Student Practices & Non-Performance Events
Athletic practices, competition trials and rehearsals are strictly closed to spectators. Parents are kindly asked to drop off students at designated drop off points and return promptly for pick-up at the scheduled end time. If a parent wishes to wait for their child, they may do so in the ASD or BSD reception area of each campus.
Spectator & Open Events
For events where families are invited to watch, specific notices will be sent out in advance with clear instructions on how to request campus access.

INVITATION TO JOIN NESA WEBINAR SERIES HOLDING HOPE: ENVISIONING POSSIBILITY, BUILDING CONNECTION & ACTING WITH PURPOSE IN UNCERTAIN TIMES
ISG is partnering with NESA Council of Overseas Schools to offer our community access to a three-part webinar series entitled Holding Hope: Envisioning Possibility, Building Connection & Acting with Purpose in Uncertain Times.
The dates are listed below. All sessions will be from 5-6 p.m.
Session 1: October 6 - Hope Capacity & Holding Two Truths at Once
Session 2: November 10 - Hope Capacity & The Stories We Tell
Session 3: November 17 - Hope Capacity & Empathy to Impact
Schools across the NESA region face complex challenges—including ongoing conflict, rapid change and rising wellbeing concerns—requiring us to balance uncertainty with hope and strength. This online learning series invites educators, parents, counselors, staff and leaders to explore staying grounded, connected and purposeful in difficult times.
Referencing learning sciences, developmental psychology and resilience studies, "The Pedagogy of Hope" delivers practical, research-backed strategies for immediate use in homes, classrooms and communities. Further details can be found here on the NESA website.
Attendance at the sessions is free for all ISG community members. Links to the sessions will be shared closer to the time. We look forward to engaging and learning with you all.

BRITISH SCHOOL DHAHRAN, SARA VILLAGE CAMPUS CELEBRATES DOT DAY
International Dot Day is an annual global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration held on or around September 15. BSD, Sara Village Campus celebrated with an assembly filled with creativity, color and dots!
